A generator is only useful if it transfers cleanly, carries your actual load, and runs long enough to matter. Most generator failures aren't the unit itself, they're the surrounding work: undersized ATS, fuel system that hasn't been exercised, a load that grew past what the gen was sized for. We design and install the whole package to prevent that.
We work with Generac, Kohler, Cummins, and Caterpillar. System sizes from 10kW skid units up to 2MW paralleled installations. Common applications include data closets, surgical suites, life-safety, refrigeration, elevators, and mission-critical retail.
The gen is one component. The job includes the transfer switch, the fuel system, the load calc, the code compliance, and the annual testing schedule that keeps the unit healthy long-term.
A standby system needs more than a one-time install. Most of our generator clients are on annual PM agreements that include load-bank testing, fuel polishing, ATS exercise, battery and charging system checks, and a written report after each visit.
If you inherit a gen that hasn't been maintained, we'll do an inspection visit first to document what's actually in front of you, then quote remediation separate from ongoing PM. No surprises.
The most common standby-power scenarios we run. If any of these match your building, it's worth a conversation.
Healthcare, life-safety, elevators, smoke control. We design the gen and ATS into the package alongside the rest of the electrical.
Retrofit installs require careful service-side coordination and a load study. Often involves a service upgrade as part of the project.
Gens have a service life. When yours is past 15–20 years or parts are getting hard to source, replacement is usually more reliable than continued repair.
Paralleling a second unit, or upsizing an existing one, to handle load growth or N+1 requirements. Particularly common in data closets and medical.
Code-required annual load-bank testing, written documentation, and preventive maintenance to keep the system healthy and compliant.
Projects rarely happen in isolation. Here's what else commonly comes up in the same scope.
Send us the building address, load summary if you have one, and what you're trying to protect. A PM will walk you through next steps.
